The Aymara in Chili.
The Aymara group is to be found living in the northernmost regions of Chili. Arica, Parinacota, Tarapaca and Antofagasta. In three different environments. The altiplano or puna area, the slopes and upland valleys and the region’s lowland valleys and cities. Today many Aymara people live in the large cities of Chile. Some of them in Santiago.
At 2025. We are waiting for the congress of Chile and the government as they can recognize in the constitution the nine indigenous groups: Atacameño, Aymara, Colla, Diaguita, Kawashkar, Mapuche, Quechua, Rapa Nui, and Yagán.
